Sandy Grey, an idealistic young air cadet, ends up in an asylum for the criminally insane after he violently opposes his fundamentalist preacher father's decision to prevent him from enlisting in the Second World War. When World War II is declared in Canada, a young air cadet decides to enlist, thus defying the wishes of his father, a fundamentalist preacher. Their conflict will lead to tragedy.
